 Andrummets kennel

I who have the kennel name - Andrummets (translated it means breathing space, but you also got the bird "Duck" in swedisch in the beginning "And in Andrummets") - in my possession is called Marie.

I have had Tollers since 2001 and began my training and racing career in obedience and show. I've also started some informal agility competitions, but back in 1994 I took my exam in hunting, so the idea has always been to use my dogs in hunting and tests in retrieve and track.

I applied for Kennel name in the autumn of 2008 and it was approved in April 2009.

We have thought about the name for nearly a year, but our options have not really occurred to our taste. But in autumn 2008, we sat and laughed at some new options, including Andrummets Kennel. But the more we found explanations for the name it were stuck in our heads.
Actually, we were not in a hurry to get a kennel name, but since this came up and we liked it we deside to applied for it.

Why it became Andrummets Kennel
The name seemed to fit us when we concluded that:
- To get home and be able to work with the dogs is only in itself a breathing space.
- It is a breathing space to get out into the woods with the dogs, whether it is used for training, tracking or hunting.
- And, finally, if not the 2 statements above works one day, it is a breathing space to once again come home after completed workout, track, or hunting.

Tollers has become a breed that is really close to me and my partner's heart and we work for our dogs to be used in hunting. We train and compete primarily in tracking, and Tolling Retriever field trial, Retrieve field trial and tracking.

In show we try to start each dog at least 1 time per class. Exhibition championship SU (u) CH is not a high priority title, however, we see SUCh title (show champion with merit) more interesting.

Obedience competitions are also among the favorites, but the main focus is the hunting when we use our dogs in practice. We also see up to the dog handler who qualify their dogs in field tracking or other activities where the dog can work and show what it can be used.

Toller is a breed that likes to work and in Sweden we have shown that the toller can be used in most categories of the competition. In addition to racing parts, there is Tollers in the armed forces, police search dogs and avalanche dogs scanned.
