Kax and Ace mated at the Lucia weekend (11th-13th) in December 2009
and the puppies will be born in the mid-February

Mating took place during the Lucia weekend, 11th-13th of december, read about the weekend in the album. This will be Andrummets Kennels first litter, and we look forward to do the combination we have in mind. We strive to produce healthy puppies that we hope to get working interest and capacity. The work capacity implies to us that the dog will be calm, collected, interest, job readiness and have an interest in one or more activities. But of course, it is you as a puppy buyer who builds on the foundation we hope to make by using those dogs that we believe in.
Inbreeding of litter is 0.8% according to SKK's Breeding Data. Both parents are DNA tested for PRA-Prcd, Kax with result B-Carrier (which means that she herself will not develop the eye disease) and Ace with result A - Free (he wears no gene at all). The puppies will not be able to develop the eye disease itself, but should be DNA tested before they are used in breeding.
Kaxi are used in practical hunting, compete in tolling retrieve-, retrieve- and tracking tests, has also started 1 time for obedience and the idea of multi-offs exist. Behind her, we have several game tracking champions and show champions.
Her father - Kössi - from Finland, he have taken 2nd prize in Open Class retriever test, become Fieldtrial Master & Tollermaster for the Finnish Tollerclub 2008, Finnish Obedience Champion, competed in agility class 3 & jumpingclass and was Int. champion with the show champion in Estonia, Finland and Sweden. Her mother - Sushi - have two 2nd prizes in the Tollingretrieve test, SVCH - Swedish game tracking champion title and LPI (3 x 1st prize in obedience class 1). Sushi are used for practical hunting and tracking.

The male is called Ace and comes from Krokasmedens kennel. He is full brother to our own Morgan - Krokasmedens Fata Morgana, it is just 1 year between them.
I have met Ace and he is a pretty nice guy and handsome (just like his sister ... but I am not biased ... yes, yes ... maybe a little ...  )
Anyway, for me it has not been difficult in the choice of the male. I love my own Morgan and I have had the advantage to meet almost all siblings in both the sibling litters as adults (Krokasmedens D-and F-litter). And I like what I have seen.
Ace train and compete primarily in the field trail and obedience (competes in obedience class 2) but also are trained in hunting and have been exhibited in show with 1st prize in quality. There is a working capacity and zeal that I really like and he is a wounderful male. His mother "Orka" has a number of Cert and the title SBCH in field trail (like her mother - Tessie), were SM-participants in 2007 and district cmaster in 2009 and competes in obedience class 3. His father has three 1st prize in obedience class 1 - Lp1, and approved in the lower class field trail, approved L-test and works as a search dog for drugs in prison. So there are many 'good' noses back in routes. Several of littermates is also merit in the field trail, obedience and game tracking already.
He has a litter at Tuva Lyckans kennel, where it was 6 puppies, born 2009-06-28. And I have had the advantage to meet one of the puppies, Busan, she lives in our neighborhood. A small dam that we first meet when she were about 4 months, who turned out to be really nice. Of these puppies in Ace's first litter, three are shown at show 4 months old. Dice went and got BOB puppy, Danika, were ranked 2nd of 6 females in the class, and Busan, which was not placed for the day when she started to fall out of her fur and not seemed to be the judge taste of the day against the other bitch. But everyone has behaved really well in their debuts, and it's really good, we think. So we certainly look forward to this litter.
